Firearms Certificate Requirements
To obtain or renew a firearms or shotgun certificate, the police will inspect your storage arrangements. A certified gun cabinet or gun safe that is securely fixed is mandatory. Our installations meet every UK police force requirement.
BS7558 Standard
BS7558 is the British Standard for gun cabinets. It specifies minimum thickness for steel, lock strength, hinge protection and fixing requirements. All our shotgun cabinets meet or exceed this standard.
EN 1143-1 Grading
For higher-value collections or insurance requirements, EN 1143-1 graded safes offer tested resistance against attack. Grade 0 and Grade 1 are the most common for domestic firearms storage in the UK.
Passing Your Police Inspection
Every UK police firearms licensing department requires secure storage before granting or renewing a shotgun certificate or firearms certificate. Our gun safe installations are designed to pass first time.
